Rhys Thurtell- Morton

Finance Broker

Rhys is our commercial finance guru – the guy you call when a deal starts getting “a little complicated” (or a lot). While he can turn his hand to just about anything, heavy equipment and complex business structures are where he really hits his stride.

He’s got that rare mix of sharp technical knowledge and easy-going charm, which means clients and referral partners not only trust him, they actually enjoy dealing with him. The banters strong, the communications even stronger, and somehow he makes the complex stuff feel simple.

Inside the office, Rhys has earned another title: Meme King. Whether it’s a perfectly timed GIF or a questionable meme for a cheap laugh, he’s always ready to lighten the mood (usually at someone else’s expense)

Outside of work, he’s a proud girl dad who swaps finance deals for campfires whenever he can. Happiest off grid, 4WDing, cold beer in hand.

Sharrelle Du Toit

Finance Broker

Some people make finance complicated, Sharrelle does the opposite.

With a calm head and a sharp eye for details, Sharrelle has a way of turning what can feel like a stressful, confusing process into something clear, and (dare we say it) easy. From first conversation to final approval, Sharrelle keeps things moving like a well-oiled machine. No surprises, no chaos, just solutions.

She’s not just about getting deals done either. For Sharrelle, it’s about building real relationships, being the person clients and referral partners clients can rely on every single time.

Think steady, reliable, and always one step ahead…with a coffee in hand, and a plan already in motion.

Outside of work, life’s just as full. She’s a proud mum to her vibrant 4 year old, wife to a loving hubby, and somehow still finds the time to hit the gym, plan the next family holiday, and stay one step ahead of the week before it even begins.

Tom Wedding

Finance Broker

Tom is our youngest go-getter, but easily one of the hungriest brokers around. He’s got that drive where no deal gets left behind, always looking for a way to make it work for our referral partners and their clients (even when it’s not the obvious path).

Fresh off building his first home, Tom’s already ticking off big milestones early, and if that’s anything to go by, he’s only just getting started. He’s detail-focused, solutions-driven, and quietly competitive in the way that means he’ll keep pushing until he gets the result.

Outside of work, you’ll find him at home with his Kelpie, Cosi, or doing anything car-related… talking about them, looking at them, or finding an excuse to upgrade something that probably didn’t need upgrading.

Sam Jolley

Operation Manager

Sam is the bossman – our Director and founder. Without Sam, there’s no Sanomi.

He built the business on a pretty simple belief; finance shouldn’t feel cold, confusing or transactional. It should feel like you’re dealing with someone who actually gets it (and gets $#it done!)

Big on relationships, and even bigger on thinking ahead, Sam works closely with brokers, dealerships and clients to create outcomes that make everyone look good. He’s the kind of person who’s already solving the next problem before you’ve realised there is one.

Outside of work, you’ll find him either at a café or new restaurant, deep in conversation, or sketching out his next big idea for Sanomi on the back of a napkin. There’s always something brewing – whether it’s a new way to do things better, or just where the next team lunch is.

Steve Wedding

Finance Broker

Steve’s the kind of guy you hear before you see…usually laughing, cracking a joke, or lining someone up (lovingly) for the next one.

Steve brings a work ethic and level of care that’s hard to match. Steve’s all about showing up, getting stuck in, and making sure people are looked after, whether that’s a client, a partner, or whoever’s copped his latest dad joke.

Around the office, he’s the unofficial morale booster. There’s always a laugh, usually at someone else’s expense, and somehow he gets away with it every time.

Outside of work, you’ll find him in his natural habitat, perfecting the lawn (we’re talking full “lawn porn” standards), lending a hand to anyone who needs it, or workshopping his next terrible/great dad joke.

Zoe Calderbank

Director of Fun

Zoe’s our Partnership Manager. The connector, the strategist, and the one making sure great relationships turn into even better opportunities. She’s the go-to for brokers, accountants and dealerships looking to expand their finance offerings, helping bring deals through the door while also building something much bigger behind the scenes.

She’s big on helping brokers grow. Whether that’s stepping into asset finance for the first time or levelling up what they’re already doing. From training and support to workshopping real scenarios, Zoe’s all about showing how asset finance can open more doors for both brokers and their clients.

She’s equal parts strategy and energy, loves a planning session, thrives on finding smart solutions, and will happily roll up her sleeves to help get a deal moving.

Around the office, she’s known for her quick wit, love of a (questionable) dad joke, and ability to make people laugh at any moment.

Outside of work, she’s a full-blown dog person, the type to cross the street just to pat one. A proud dog mum, and if there’s a dog nearby, there’s a very high chance Zoe’s already made a new best friend.
